POSITION OVERVIEW:
The purpose of this position is to provide patients with the highest quality of care by focusing intently on customer service. The incumbent serves as a technologist to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Procedures will require independent judgment and ingenuity to produce optimum visualization of anatomic structures in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies and procedures. The Radiology Technologist also provides technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist the physicians, nurses and other technical and administrative staff in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout the facility
Job Description:
We are seeking a PRN ER Technician to join our team to help deliver high quality care to our patients. The ER Technician will help provide patient centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the ER Technician’s skills/training and the needs of the department. The ER Technician will assist the nursing staff in obtaining and recording patient information such as admission data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, and other patient information as outlined by policy.
Qualifications:
- An EMT-Basic must have BLS
- A Paramedic must have BLS/ACLS/PALS
- High School Graduate/GED
- Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B), Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (AEMT), Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMT-P) PREFERRED.
